Ryanair $12 Airfare from Europe to the United States

RyanairFlightglobal.com just reported Ryanair is set to launch a new transatlantic airline serving the US East Coast. In classic Ryanair style, they are offering fares as low as $12 or €10. Of-course the pound is so much higher than the dollar that we can’t afford to go to the UK anyway. Keep in mind this is Ryanair, who charges for everything from luggage to drinks. But if you’re on budget business travel, you may want to have a look.

O’Leary, from RyanAir, remarked, “By mid 2009, we will be carrying 70 million passengers at 23 bases across Europe. It will be relatively straightforward for us to do a deal for 40 to 50 long-haul aircraft and connect these bases transatlantically. There would be no one to touch us.”
