When using your card at participating Starwood properties and retail outlets you’ll earn 2 points for each dollar spent. In all other locations, 1 dollar spent earns 1 point. Bonus points are also awarded: 10,000 points after the first purchase. The points do not expire as long as the card is active for a year.

Points can be redeemed for hotel stays at over 825 Participating Starwood Hotels and Resorts in 95 countries including Sheraton®, Westin®, and W Hotels®. Points can be transferred to a variety of frequent flyer programs (30 major airlines), which makes this card very attractive.

When using the card at certain businesses such as FedEx, Delta or Hertz, the card member benefits from savings. The card member also benefits from discounts on hotel, air and car rental if they book through the company’s Online Business Travel Center.

There’s no annual fee during the first year but the annual fee is $45 starting with the second year. The card offers 2.90% APR on purchases for the first 6 months and after that the APR is average for a reward card (14.99%). The grace period is 20 days.
