Thrifty Car Rental is currently offering a heck of a deal for travelers to the Sunshine State, Florida. The rental company is including Pass24, the new prepaid toll service, with select car rentals at participating Florida locations. In order to get the upgrade, you must use your American Express card for payment and use the promotion code AXTL. The offer is valid from now through March 31, 2008.

The following rates are eligible for free Pass24:

– Intermediate SUV: $38.00 per day or $199.00 per week;
– Minivan: $41.00 per day or $219.00 per week;
– Premium Car: $44.00 per day or $227.00 per week; and
– Convertible: $44.00 per day or $227.00 per week.

If your company doesn’t frown on you renting any of the above, it can save you a little dough on the tolls. Hell, it can save you a lot of dough on the tickets you’ll get when you run out of cash on the toll road, or maybe that’s just me. And you can skip the line at the toll booth and breeze through the SunPass or EPass lane, which is nice.

For those of you who have to rent the compact car, Pass24 pre-paid toll service is available to for $5.95 per day or $27.95 per week in Florida, which includes all toll charges.

In order to take advantage of this offer, the rental must end by March 31, 2008. You must reserve your car 24 hours in advance. Weekly rates are based on a five day minimum rental.
