Traffic.com Gives You Traffic Reports on Your Cell Phone

GridlockThe site I mentioned several weeks ago, Traffic.com, recently launched a new website specifically for mobile devices. Already a leader in providing traffic information, Traffic.com promises the new site will deliver faster and easier service to drivers on the go. You can find it at https://mobi.traffic.com.

Boasting up-to-the-minute traffic information including travel times, vehicle speeds, delay times, and accident reports, this application is sure to make your travel easier as long as you’re in the right zip code. This site, as with it’s parent, is only available in 50 metro areas throughout the U.S.

According to PRNewsWire:

Traffic.com’s MyTraffic offerings include customized traffic reports and alerts delivered via phone call, e-mail, and text message. Users can save up to 20 regularly traveled routes and schedule up-to-the-minute traffic reports for those drives when, where and how they want. Also, for traffic information on-demand, drivers can call Traffic.com’s free traffic hotline at 1-866-MY-TRAFC (1-866-698-7232) or text their drive name or city code to TRAFC (87232).

The new site is designed for easy navigation on mobile devices, such as cell phones with general city-wide information or personalized traffic reports. To sign up for personalized reports, visit the parent site at www.traffic.com to register your information. As mentioned above, you can save up to 20 destinations, so even the moderate traveler should be able to cover (most of) their bases.
