Travelocity’s FareWatcher Vista Sidebar

TravelocityTravelocity has introduced a new sidebar application for Windows Vista users. I don’t have Vista, so I can’t test this out for you guys but I can tell you what I know. FareWatcher is a personalized tool for travelers, which delivers special fares relevant to you. In the past, these fares were available through email or RSS. Now, in addition, Vista users can download this handy widget to monitor fares directly from the desktop.

How does it work? Upon logging into the computer, the Travelocity gnome will appear on your desktop with the requested information. What will he give you?

  • Daily updates highlighting featured flight promotions across the site.
  • Booking capabilities across multiple Travelocity products (from flights and hotels to car rentals, cruises and Travelocity TotalTrip® packages)
  • A Consumer Feedback link that allows you to offer suggestions on how to make the tool even more useful.
